1. Download the Application

2. Create Account

Upgrade your Account

You cannot do much with a basic PAYMAYA account, so it is important that you upgrade your account to enjoy its full features. An upgraded account allows you to transfer money throughout banks, send money PAYMAYA to PAYMAYA, and withdraw money locally and abroad.

Here’s how to upgrade your account:

1. Log in your PAYMAYA Account

When you already have an account, you can now easily log-in your account by entering your mobile/account number and declaring your password.


The main page of the app (in an upper left corner) includes the menu button. In there, a message in blue textbox, that says “UPGRADE YOUR ACCOUNT”, select it. Read the instructions carefully.

3. Complete the Personal Information Form

There will be three steps in verifying your account, the first two steps require you to fill-in a form with your personal information:

  • First Name and Last Name
  • Nationality
  • Date and Place of Birth
  • Work and Source of income

The next form is about your personal address:

  • Present address
  • Additional address information
  • Barangay
  • City
  • Province
  • Zip code
  • Country

If that is your permanent (lifetime) residence address, tick the box that tells “Use this as my Permanent Address”.

4. Upload a Valid Identification

For faster and assurance of approval, any of these primary IDs must be used:

  • Driver’s License
  • Passport
  • PRC License
  • Postal ID (issued 2015)

Take a picture of your ID (front and back sides), make sure that your filled-in information and account number are similar with your ID and make sure that your ID are not expired.

After taking a picture of your ID, click next.

5. Record Liveliness Video

PAYMAYA requires you to record a liveliness video to further secure identification. Make sure that you’re recording the video in a well-lit room, and you’re not having any accessories in you (e.g., earrings, necklace, or glasses) Make sure that there are no other faces in the background. When all are set and prepared, record your video by facing the camera, nodding up and down and moving your head sidewards.

6. Wait for Confirmation

For an average of 72 hours, PAYMAY will view and assess your upgrade application. You will receive a text message regarding your application status. Take note of your validation code in case you need to follow up your upgrade to customer service.

When you’ve upgraded your account, you will receive the following features:
